Coronavirus Information

Due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, Snowdon Farm is currently closed until further notice for riding lessons.
When we do re-open there will be restrictions in place as follows to maintain our staff and customer safety.
When lessons restart we will be doing only 1/2 hour private or shared 1/2 hour private lessons to begin with. We need to keep the number of people at any one time on the yard low. Also the horses have had a lovely holiday and so we cannot expect them to be fully fit straight away for hour lessons, and as we are not having group lessons we would like to have the opportunity for everyone to still come so for now we feel that 1/2 hour lessons are the best way forward. Thank you for your understanding throughout all of this and for the support you've given us too. We are only a small business so we do rely on the support of our customers to keep us going so we can look after our lovely horses ready for you all to come back and have fun riding again.

Bookings and payment

Please call the yard on 01246 417172 to book in a lesson. All the usual lesson times will be different so please do not turn up at a time you used to come, please call to arrange a lesson. We are also asking for all customers to pay in advance online for lessons. Details will be given over the phone when booking. Also remember we do block bookings, information for this in on the price list page.

Enquiries and viewing lessons

In the current situation, we are not accepting any new customers, however we welcome enquiries and we hope to be running as normal again soon.
For riders under 16 years old we ask that a parent or guardian stays at the yard while they are riding.
The viewing gallery is open to use the toilet and drinks machine. The hire hats and boots are also in there to allow more space to get and return your riding equipment.

Ability of riders

Currently we cannot offer any lessons for people of any age who require instruction close to them, this is most likely to be young riders or beginners. It may also restrict people who require help mounting and dismounting as we cannot maintain social distancing rules. We will have some slightly different practices for mounting and altering stirrups too.

Precautions

We ask that anybody who feels unwell or shows any coronavirus symptoms, or within the family, please does not come to the yard. We are a small business with few staff and we do risk having to close again if we become poorly. Please use the hand sanitiser on the yard on arrival and leaving. Please keep socially distanced from staff and the horses to reduce spreading the virus. For more information on the current government guideline please see this link: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
